BTST Committee Meeting Minutes 7.31.22

Members present: Kevin, Mrs.Suh, Hannah, Tiffany, Victoria. Amanda, David, Juhee, Jason, and Grace

Members absent: Laura, Priscilla

1. Organizations/Causes to support:

   1. Possibly reach out to Soomin about fundraising for Guatemala?

2. Updates

   1. HR Department

      1. Department head: Nathan Siegl

      2. Drafting additional questions for interview (Brandon is in charge)

         1. Needs to be documented

         2. Deadline: Wednesday, August 3rd

   2. Communications Department

      1. Department head: Jennifer Song

      2. Task:

         1. Continue to work on the script and video

            1. Time: 1-2 mins

            2. Deadline: By next week/next meeting

   3. Finance Department

      1. Department head: Kevin Lee

      2. Schedule a time to meet with Mrs.Suh to review bank statements and bank account

         1. Saturday in the afternoon?

      3. Possible Fundraiser Ideas:

         1. Bake Sales

         2. Car Washes

         3. Hosting board game nights

            1. Games could include bingo, monopoly, cards, poker, etc.

            2. Guests would have to pay an entrance fee that would go towards BTST

         4. Going through neighborhoods with pamphlets about BTST to ask for support

            1. Or we could leave pamphlets at the door or in mailboxes?

         5. Yardsale?

         1. Refresh social media

            1. Remind others of BTST’s mission statement, core values, and goals

            2. Possibly reflect on the recent Mexico trip?

      1. Summer Project: Math Camp

         1. In Guatemala or Mexico?

      2. Winter Project:

         1. Fundraise for Christmas gifts for children in Mexico or Guatemala

      3. Pen Pals

         1. To form relationships with kids in Mexico

         2. Assign a child to each member to be Pen Pals

      4. Sponsoring a kid
